A Ha Mabote man who allegedly defrauded a local financial outfit cash amounting to M2million in forged cheques was yesterday released on a M5 000 bail by the Maseru Magistrate’s Court. Senior Resident Magistrate Phethise Motanyane who presided over the matter also ordered Mlungisi Sekete to pay a sum of M50 000 in surety.

It is alleged that around May 2018, Sekete, 34, of Mapeleng presented to Ts’epo Financial Services over 150 forged cheques worth M2million, which he claimed were from Ts’episo Transport Services.
