MASERU – Fuel prices are continuing to soar, on a third month since increases in September and October. The statement released by Petroleum Fund dictated that November 9, the pump price of diesel 500ppm has been increased by 25 Lisente per litre and diesel 50ppm has been increased by 30 Lisente per litre. The diesel now costs M14.90 and M15.20 respectively.

The increase that comes two consecutive fuel price increase in September and October, has also seen the wholesale price of illuminating paraffin going up by 15 Lisente per litre and now costs M10.70 per litre. However it is not all sad news for everyone especially motorists as the petrol price has not been affected by the increase this month. Petrol 93 and 95 will remain at M13.95 per litre and M14.05 per litre respectively. The free-on-board prices for diesel and paraffin which have resulted in unit slate under-recoveries on the said products is reported to be the cause of the increase.
