ANTON Nicolaisen has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Standard Lesotho Bank effective from March 1, to replace Kenrick Cockerill who passed on in October last year.

This is the second appointment since the resignation of the bank’s former boss Mpho Vumbukani in September 2019.

Mr Vumbukani had joined the bank in 2011 and was the first Mosotho to hold the position.

“The Board of Directors of Standard Lesotho Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Anton Nicolaisen as the new Chief Executive Officer of Standard Lesotho Bank. The appointment follows the untimely demise of Mr Kenrick Cockerill, who succumbed to illness on 20 October 2020,” the bank said in a statement.

Thabiso Ntseki had been acting as CEO while the recruitment process for a substantive candidate was underway.
