BOASTING over 35 albums, Lebohang ‘Rangoane Sfako’ Letšohla is indeed a legend in his own right and has taken the local music scene to another level.

The Leribe-born musician from Pitseng, Ha Khomoatsana shot to the limelight in 2000, with his debut album “Molomolo”.

Over the past 20 years, the versatile artiste has successfully produced celebrated songs in genres including famo, gospel, reggae, Afro-jazz and RnB, while also assisting upcoming musicians like his hip-hop singer son.

As a diverse and multi-talented artiste, he has featured an array of big names in famo music like Apollo Ntabanyane, Moketa (Kholumolumo ea ka Leribe) and many others in his songs.

In 2003, he became a brand name after releasing the hit track; “Khomo tse Kholo” (- li lisoa ke bashanyana), which was followed by another favourite album titled “Code 14”. Backed by his band Sefako sa Menoaneng, Letšohla went on to shine both locally and beyond the borders of Lesotho.

Some of his popular songs include “Koranta”, “Kolokisa Majoe” and “Ke seo sefako”.

His son, Letšohla Junior, remains his number one artist at the moment.

“Divorce” was the last famo album he produced before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pandemic has had a devastating effect on the music industry in Lesotho.

Other albums that Letšohla previously released include “Rangoane S’fako” (Afro Jazz), “Traffic Cop” (Gospel) and “Sefako Reggae Band” (Reggae).

“A collection album of all my songs will be available soon,” he recently told fans on his Facebook page.

In April, Letšohla and Sefako sa Menoaneng formed part of local entertainers who had organised a fun walk and picnic that was aimed at disseminating information about the COVID-19 pandemic.
