The Premier League Management Committee (PLMC) is still awaiting official match reports from officials who were in charge of the Econet premier league top of the table match between Bantu and Matlama played at Setsoto stadium on Saturday.

Bantu won the match 2-1 to boost their chances of retaining the league title with only two games left before the end of the soccer season. Speaking in an interview about ugly scenes in which missiles were thrown into the pitch, which forced the game to be temporarily stopped,
PLMC Public Relations Officer Moeketsi Ramakatsa said even if some members of the PLMC were present at the stadium, they were still awaiting the referee's official match report.

He also highlighted that they will also await a match report from the Match Coordinator, Mohau Sents'o, and also from the match assessor, as well as both teams match reports. “We are expecting all those reports to be submitted latest by Tuesday this week and by Wednesday the PLMC will look at all the reports before deciding what action to be taken against who,” he noted.

Ramakatsa said if there were any stoppages during the game, the referee needs to explain what led to such stoppages. On the other hand, he said, as for the arrangement that was made by the PLMC that no games should be played in double headers to avoid match fixing, the committee could change that by only focusing on ensuring that Matlama and Bantu’s last matches are played at the same time on the same day.

Ramakatsa said Matlama is left to play against Sefothafotha and Linare while, on the other hand, Bantu also need to face Lioli and Sefothafotha before wrapping up the 2018/19 season.

He said the scenario is that Sefothofotha is at the centre of deciding the fate of the league championship because it could sway which one
of the two title chasing teams win the league by winning one and losing the other.
