MASERU - The chairperson of the National Emergency Command Centre (NECC), Chief Thesele ’Maseribane has appealed to Basotho to pray diligently, with a view to overcome the prevailing Coronavirus pandemic.

’Maseribane who is also the Minister of Communications, Science and Technology was speaking on Sunday at the national prayer service held by the Christian Council of Lesotho (CCL).

Acknowledging the initiative meant to provide hope to Basotho; the minister reminded the nation that 12pm has been marked as time for prayer for a COVID-19 breakthrough, asking Basotho to pray at that time, every day.
Speaking at the same event, Reverend Tšeliso Masemene encouraged Basotho to remain strong and hopeful, describing the Coronavirus as an enemy of the entire world.

Also present at the service were among others Reverends Tanki Mofana, Daniel Rantle, Mapeete Mokhosi and Mposiso Mqathazane.

The highlight of the service was a prayer for peace which was led by Archbishop Tlali Lerotholi of the Roman Catholic Church (RCC).
