Doti’s attackers await trial
Former Minister of social development (Doti)
The accused include Bokang Manyamane, 23, of Lithabaneng, Ha-Keiso, Thabo Moahloli, 28, and Napo Maliba, 18, both of Masite, Thotaneng. They are charged with armed robbery and attempted murder.
It is alleged that the trio broke into the Lithabaneng residence of Mrs Doti and stole at gunpoint her property that comprised hats and caps, jewellery, baking powder, a pump action rifle along with its four cartridges and cash worth M4 600.
The incident occurred on the night of July 26 and the Mrs Doti who is a member of parliament for the Lithabaneng constituency was allegedly in bed at the time. During the robbery, the three men allegedly stabbed the legislator with a knife and she sustained several stab
