“On behalf of the people and the government of the Kingdom of Lesotho and on behalf of the Royal Family in Lesotho, I wish to convey our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Your Majesty and through Your Majesty, to the people and government of the United Kingdom for this great loss,” the King said.

He said the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award that Lesotho proudly adopted, along with a number of other Commonwealth Member States, will indeed remain an enduring legacy in the development of life skills among the youth.
He concluded his message by assuring the British Royal Family that his thoughts and prayers are with them and the people of the UK during in this trying moment.
Prince Philip died last Friday at the age of 99. He spent a month in hospital earlier this year before being released on March 16 to return to the royal residence of Windsor Castle, where he passed away.
