LESOTHO News Agency (LeNA) staff could not hold back their emotions as they bid farewell to their former Editor and Director, Mothepane Kotele during an event that was held in Thaba-Bosiu, Maseru on Friday.

Speaking at the occasion, which had brought together LeNA staff from all over the country, the Acting Director,  Moroa Mopeli said her predecessor joined the news agency at the time when the staff was demotivated, adding that her love for education motived them to further their studies.
She wished Ms Kotele success in her future endeavors, urging her to be as committed as she was when she led the agency.

One of the staff members, Rethabile Majara commended the former Director for creating a conducive working environment for everyone, especially for those who are based in other districts.

He assured her that she is leaving behind a legacy of dedicated workers who are ready to be deployed anywhere in the country to serve Basotho.

For her part, Ms Kotele expressed her gratitude to staff for the role they played under her tutelage.

“I am humbled and glad to see unity among LeNA staff. When I started working as the Editor, it was most frustrating but thanks to the staff for making things easy for me,” she said.
