MASERU – Letšeng Diamonds will on Friday host its annual Letšeng Diamonds Scholarships Award Ceremony to be held at the Avani Lesotho Hotel, in Maseru.

Apart from conferring scholarships to new recipients, the occasion will also be used to honour recipients who successfully completed their studies under the scholarship programme in 2019.

The ceremony will be graced by the presence of the Minister of Mining  Temeki Tšolo, the Minister of Education Mokoto Hloaele, the Minister of Development Planning Tlohelang Aumane, government Principal Secretaries and other senior government officials, the board and management of Letšeng Diamonds as well as parents and guardians of the learners.

Letšeng Diamonds is a producer and marketer of world class diamonds, and annually offers full scholarships to students currently studying or interested in studying for tertiary qualifications, including Honours and Masters Degrees, relating to the development of the natural resources of Lesotho.

Through its all-inclusive scholarships and internship programmes, the company steadily produces and nurturers future captains of the Lesotho mining industry.

The scholarship covers all registration, tuition and exam fees. It also covers medical, residential fees, textbook costs and provides the student with some stipend.
