THE Ministry of Finance has rubbished allegations circulating on various social media platforms claiming that the ministry has ran out of funds to pay Basotho youth engaged in the Youth Apprenticeship programme.

According to the ministry’s Information Officer Keneuoe Mojaki, the youth who are already engaged in the programme are still getting paid as expected
She said the government through this programme has been able to employ 1 582 Basotho youth who possess high school qualifications and about 543 youth with tertiary qualifications.
The youth, Ms Mojaki said are placed in a number of ministries as per their qualifications, adding that the youth already in the programme work on a two-year contract.
