MASERU - The High Court will this week decide the fate of Police Commissioner Holomo Molibeli who has sought a review of Prime Minister Motsoahae Thabane’s decision to force him into early retirement.

Justice Molefi Makara will hand down the ruling on a date yet to be confirmed.

Molibeli has asked the court to set aside and declare as irrational as well as illegal Thabane’s decision of January 10 to retire him.

In his letter to His Majesty, Thabane advised the King to appoint Assistant Commissioner of Police Jankie Hlaahla as the new police commissioner by noon that day.
