MP wants establishment of adhoc committee on COVID-19
The National Assembly
Mr Aumane who is an MP for Semane constituency said since parliamentarians are able to reach the entire country through their respective constituencies, it would therefore be advisable that the committee consists largely of MPs.
“The COVID-19 pandemic is still rife and we need concerted efforts from all to intensify the fight against this deadly virus to protect Basotho,” he said.
The pandemic, he said has affected Basotho all over the country, hence the need to urgently establish the ad hoc committee.

He said despite the COVID-19 vaccine now being available, with the elderly people and front liners given first preference, the pandemic remains a global threat that has taken a serious toll on lives and the economy throughout the world.
