It is alleged that fuming with rage, Tšeliso ’Matli, 36, of Ha Rasekhone attacked his 58-year old girlfriend with a stick on January 2, and fatally injured her.
Matli accused his now deceased lover of cheating him with another neighbour, police spokesperson Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli said.
The man who was arrested by the police immediately after killing his girlfriend was on Monday remanded in custody by the Quthing Magistrate’s Court.

Although details of what actually transpired still remain sketchy, it is however alleged that the woman was killed during a heated argument that broke out between 2am and 3am,
The victim who was from the same village with her two suspected lovers died on the spot from heavy loss of blood, Supt Mopeli also said.
