THE Lesotho Meteorological Services (LMS) has warned the nation of rain showers that are to be expected across the country on Monday.

According to a media statement released by the body, the rain showers are expected to spread out through the day.
Temperatures are expected to remain at 16 degrees Celsius in Qacha’s Nek, Mokhotlong and Thaba-Tseka.

In Maseru, Leribe and Berea, the temperatures are expected to climb to 20 degrees Celsius and drop to 10 degrees Celsius in other parts of the country.
The LMS further explained that despite the dropping temperatures that are anticipated in some areas, there is a chance of snowfall in other areas.

The LMS was created in 1974 as a division within the Department of Hydrology and Meteorological services.
The main objective of LMS is to apply and integrate the science of meteorology with social and economic activities, particularly in poverty reduction, employment creation, protection of atmospheric environment and promotion of measures to be resilient to the adverse impacts of climate change. LeNA
