FORMER Econet Premier League Player of the Season Maloisane “Chukwu” Ramasimong, who is currently in the books of SA’s Chippa United, says he is still available to play for Likuena should Coach Thabo Senong be interested to engage him.

The diminutive winger came to Lesotho in 2016 and joined Bantu FC from Bloemfontein Celtic youth side.

He thereafter enjoyed a lot of success with A-Matšo-Matebele, which earned him a lucrative move back to the Phunya Sele-Sele senior team in 2018.

Former Likuena head coach Moses Maliehe called Ramasimong and Matlama’s Teboho Lilane for a Likuena camp in 2018, hoping that the duo would switch its allegiance from its home country and don Likuena colours.

The move, however, failed to materialise and Ramasimong, who is in his third year playing top flight football in South Africa, now professes his undying love for the Mountain Kingdom and wishes to play his international football for Likuena.

Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa and Porto defender Pepe, are some of several big-name players, who switched national allegiance and played for other countries.

Both players were born in Brazil, but have been playing their international football for Spain and Portugal respectively.

“Yes, I’m still available to play for Likuena. Since I spent two years playing in Lesotho, my love for the country has not diminished,” Ramasimong exclusively told Metro.
