MASERU – The Minister of Education and Training Professor Ntoi Rapapa vowed to take strong action against teachers and participants of a sex video by students of Tšepo Christian High School. This week, he reportedly sent the ministry’s officers to investigate the matter in which teachers were to answer on what action has been taken against the students in question.

The short film, which made headlines on social media and radio stations, seem to have been recorded with a cellphone by a third participant, but it doesn’t show the faces of the actors - only the girl’s uniform, her thighs and the boy’s genitals.

Prof. Rapapa said it was unacceptable behaviour from students who are supposed to be concentrating on their studies. He also said teachers from the school, who are supposed to provide guidance and control at school, were also liable to answer for the “embarrassing” misconduct by pupils. He added that parents should also supervise their children.
