Soldier’s death under probe

A statement released by the army yesterday shows that the man was found lying in a pool of blood by his wife who was from church.

MASERU – Police are investigating the death of a member of the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) whose body was found with two bullet wounds on the head at his Ha Leqele residence on Sunday. The dead soldier who held the rank of a Lance Corporal had one gunshot wound on the forehead and another one at the back of his head.

A statement released by the army yesterday shows that the man was found lying in a pool of blood by his wife who was from church.
A .38 special revolver was found next to the body, the statement also shows.On May 30, another soldier was attacked at his home and shot on the chest. The man however, survived with serious gunshot wounds on the chest. In June another soldier was killed in Masaleng, Bobete in the Thaba-Tseka district by villagers. Investigations into the two unexplained deaths and attempted murder are continuing.
