MASERU – Police are investigating the death of a 60-year-old woman from Sixondo in Quthing whose throat was slit by unknown people in her home over the weekend.

The woman’s lifeless body was found in a pool of blood by neighbours, police assistant spokesperson Sergeant ’Mareabetsoe Mofoka told a media briefing this morning at the police headquarters. The deceased, Sgt Mofoka said lived alone and a bloodied knife believed to be the murder weapon was found near the body.

Nobody has been arrested in connection with the killing and investigations continue.
