MASERU – Teachers returned to work yesterday after leaders of local teachers union made the decision at the Saturday retreat in Maseru.

A representative of the unions Thaabe Kuleile said they would be at work until October when they review their grievances again. Mr Kuleile said after October they would be in a better position to know whether or not they continued with the strike. He therefore urged fellow teachers to return to work and resume their duties.

Earlier Mr. Kuleile had shown that teachers received their August salaries despite the statement that the employer was entitled to apply a 'no work, no pay' policy if the strike continued.
