The delegation also paid a courtesy call on His Majesty King Letsie III. Thabane’s decision to call it quits comes soon after his wife ’Maesaih disappeared, to evade arrest.

’Maesaih is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of Thabane's other wife Lipolelo, who was gunned down in June 2017 outside her Ha 'Masana residence on the outskirts of Maseru.

Police want to question her in connection with a phone call that was made to Thabane’s cellphone from the scene of crime.
