The Econet premier league title hopefuls, Matlama, believe only self-defeat could derail them from clinching the league title and scoop the trophy as they face the lowly placed Linare. Matlama need a win to ensure that the Maseru based outfit end nine year wait for the league championship after last tasting the league title way back in 2010.

Matlama Communications and Marketing Manager Tankison Moletsane said the biggest mistake will be the self-defeat as he says the players need to be alert against any complacency considering the lowly position of Linare in the league standing going into this match. He said Linare and Matlama are big teams in the country with history as they are the only two district clubs which have never been relegated
before. “We cannot under estimate Linare due to their current league position as they are like a sleeping giant,” he commented. However, the Moletsane said Linare will not stand on their way of accomplishing their cherished dream of lifting the league title after so many years, saying “this is the right moment to end a nine year league title drought.”

He said all the players are ready including Lebajoa Mosehlenyane whom he said had been sidelined by a long term injury but has
since recovered even though not hundred percent physically fit. Moletsane said it will be up to the technical team to give Mosehlenyane a chance, even if it will not be for the entire game. He said due to the magnitude of the game, the tickets for this match were already on sale at Shoprite Compitickets outlets and urged all the Matlama followers as well as soccer fraternity to rush to buy the tickets to avoid disappointments.

The Econet Premier league defending champions, Bantu, face Sefothafotha in another crucial match at the Police Training College (PTC)
where the Mafeteng based outfit will be determined to retain the league title if they win the match and hope that Linare cause a major upset by beating Matlama.

A draw for both Matlama and Bantu will favour the Mighty Blues to clinch the league with a superior goal difference. Other fixtures for
