MASERU - At least seven of the 33 LDF players who fell ill over the weekend with stomach cramps, headaches and nausea are reportedly still receiving treatment at the Makoanyane Military Hospital.

This was confirmed by LDF communications and marketing manager, Donny Ntakha on Tuesday.
Ntakha said while the other players were responding well to treatment, the seven’s condition remained the same despite the close monitoring they were under.

He said blood samples of the affected players had been taken for tests to determine the cause of their ill-health.

Since the weekend, he said the team had suspended all its training sessions to allow the ill players to recover.
The players went on camp last Friday to prepare for the Sunday Econet Premier league game against Kick4Life.
But the match was postponed after the players fell ill before they were admitted in hospital.
