Bantu win Alliance Winter Challenge
The Alliance Winter Challenge is contested by three premier league teams sponsored by Alliance Insurance Company. The three include Matlama, Lioli and LCS along with a fourth invitee. The Mafeteng-based outfit pocketed the M50 000 prize money and walked away with both the trophy and gold medals. Their solitary goal was scored by Lits'epe Marabe in the second half of the game after both teams were tied to a goalless draw in the first half.

Besides the M50,000, Bantu will also get their share of the gate-takings that will be shared equally by all the four participating clubs. Runners up Lioli obtained silver while third-placed LCS received silver medals. Matlama appeared on position four after losing all their games against Bantu on Saturday and LCS yesterday.
