MASERU - Bantu FC and Matlama FC played to a 1-1 draw on Sunday at Setsoto Stadium in the Econet Premier League match hosted by Bantu FC.

It was all Bantu in the early stages of the first half of the match but Matlama's defense and goalkeeper Monaheng Ramalefane put in a sterling performance to deny A Matšo Matebele any scoring chance.

It was more of an open affair in the middle stages of the first half but Matlama FC took the chance to break the deadlock on the 35th minute of the game as Jane Thabantšo converted from a penalty spot handing Tse Putsoa a 1-0 lead. The game went into the half-time Matlama leading Bantu by a goal.

However, Matlama's fans were stunned into silence moments later in the early stages of the second half as the A Matšo Matebele's favourite Litšepe Marabe struck and equalized 3 minutes into the second half. Despite the hard work of both teams on the pitch, none of them was lucky enough to convert and lead their team to victory.

The draw resulted in Bantu dropping points for the second time in the 2019/2020 season, but Bob Mafoso's coached team remain unbeaten and confidently remain at the top of the Econet Premier League with a 12 points lead.
