KICK4LIFE Ladies FC defender, Lisebo Lesaoana on Thursday walked away with the prestigious Player of the Season award at the club’s annual prize giving ceremony held at the Kick4Life grounds.

The Old-Europa based outfit are the runners-up in the Women Super League 2019/20 campaign, after finishing a point behind league champions, LDF Ladies.

Receiving her hard-earned accolade, the Lesotho international expressed her gratitude to her teammates, coaching staff and club management for supporting her through her football journey at Kick4Life.

Lesaoana specifically thanked the team towards shaping her life in the right direction, not just on the football pitch but off the field as well.

“My time at Kick4Life has been a great learning curve, I continue to grow every day and that is because of the support I receive from both my teammates and the coaches.  “Football is not just about kicking the ball on the pitch, but it is also about how one conducts themselves around their teammates, competitors and the community at large. Thank you so much for believing in me,” she said.

Morakane Mokhothu who had earlier won the Women Super League Golden Boot Award collected the club’s Top Goal Scorer award while Thato Sentje received the Most Consistent Player award.

Liako Makhoana won the Most Improved Player award and Boelo Lepheane snatched the Player’s Player award with Dennis Raselimo walking away with Kick4Life Values Buddy Champion.

The awards were presented by Kick4Life Academy Scholars Director, Maleshoane Mokhathi.

The team also welcomed three new players for the new season, including Senate Letsie who was previously based in the United States of America, Litšeoane Maloro who has rejoined the club and former Thaba-Tseka Ladies midfielder, Retšepile Moiloa.

According to Kick4Life FC Media Relations Officer Reitumetse Tlopo, the inclusion of the three top players is part of the team’s preparations for the new season.

“We wanted to fortify the squad ahead of the 2020/21 season and we believe that the trio will play a significant role in that regard,” Moiloa said.
