BASOTHO and the Lesotho National Olympics Committee will come together on Wednesday to celebrate the International Olympics Day in Maseru, the Lesotho National Olympic Committee (LNOC) has shown.

According to a press statement released by the outfit, the day is celebrated to encourage people to get partially active in all kinds of physical activities, including sports.
The committee said through this day, they will also look into the impact or the contribution of sports to social issues that can affect the community.
Due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, the national committee said the Olympic athletes and LNOC President will stream online on a webinar which is geared towards encouraging people to try new sports and activities that they have never been involved in before or are lesser known in their regions.

The International Olympics Day is celebrated globally in June 23 and on this day, thousands of athletes from around the world participate in various sport activities and competitions.
This year’s theme is “Move, Learn and Discover”.
