MASERU - Lioli FC have given army side LDF FC a taste of their own medicine, clobbering the military side 4 – 1 in a reserve result of their midweek league encounter played last Wednesday.

Tse Nala reclaimed their pride beating LDF in their own backyard, Ha Ratjomose. Very early into the game Lioli’s Sello Sekike missed a clear chance to put his side ahead hitting the post behind goal-minder Teboho Ratibisi.  New addition to the team Luciano Matsoso, almost drew the first blood when he took a set-piece that was cleverly cleared from the danger zone by Lebona Malebanye.

It was only on the 43rd minute that Sekike redeemed himself and made up for his earlier slip-up to put Lioli in the lead.

Just before the resumption of the second half, Matsoso was booked for a verbal altercation with match officials, becoming the second Lioli player to be booked in the afternoon - Tumelo Makha had also been yellow carded earlier for an argument with opponents.

Moments later Sekike completed his brace when he caught Ratibisi off-guard to double their lead, a goal that seemed to put the goalkeeper in the firing from his bench – accused of “being careless at the posts.”

Things turned from bad to worse on the hour mark when Makha converted a penalty after Sekike was fouled in the box, but Thabang Rabi had one of his own too and a consolation for the army side, he put one shot behind Jersey Matsie in the 74th minute.

Four minutes later Mafa Moremoholo fouled Letsie in the box and LDF were awarded a penalty. Rabi took the responsibility but was denied by Matsie.

In the dying minutes of the game, Malebanye put the final nail on LDF’s coffin, netting a deflected ball from a shot made by a sub Diutlwileng Molefe Boikanyo to make it 4 for Lioli.
