The Lesotho College and Universities Sports Association (LUCSA) will host a one day Confederation of Universities and Colleges Sports Association (CUCSA) annual general meeting in Maseru at Maseru Avani on Saturday February 29.

LUCSA President Ts'epang Mantutle said the purpose of the AGM is to receive financial reports from treasurers and presidential as well as secretary's annual reports then deliberate on the way forward. Mr. Mantutle said Lesotho will be hosting the AGM after Zambia hosted the previous one. He said they would also deliberate on the CUCSA games to be staged in July this year in which they will outline the logistics as well as the preparations.

Mr. Mantutle said expected at the AGM are members of the executive committees plus one athlete representative from 10 member countries to make up 40 delegates.

The Ministry of Gender and Youth, Sports and Recreation has been invited to officiate at the opening while Lesotho Sports and Recreation Commission (LSRC) as well as the Lesotho National Olympic Committee (LNOC) are invited as guests.

Apart from opening and closing ceremonies, the meeting will be a closed to the public in order to allow members to discuss their issues in private.

CUCSSA is a regional body with the aim of creating a platform of interaction through sports in the region as well as exchanging views and cultural diversity on the field of play. The member countries are Angola, Botswana, eSwatini, Lesotho, Malawi. Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
