BASOTHO are keen to see the national Under-20 side Makoanyane XI restoring their honour at the 2020 COSAFA Youth Championship scheduled for Port Elizabeth in South Africa from December 3-13.

This after the senior female national team Mehalalitoe suffered a humiliating loss at the COSAFA Women Senior Championship a few weeks ago in South Africa.

But Coach Bafokeng Mohapi who leads the younger squad is confident that his charges will fare much better than their older sisters did.

He said although they go into the tournament under a lot of pressure after Mehalalitoe’s dismal performance, they are however, better prepared and equipped.

The side which is drawn in Group A alongside hosts South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe will play its opening match against Mozambique on December 3 at 12.30pm at Wolfson stadium while Amajita take on Zimbabwe later that day at 3.30pm at the same venue.

The hosts, Amajita will entertain Makoanyane XI on December 6 at the same venue at 3.30pm.

Coach Mohapi is set to light up the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality during the duration of the regional show in what will be his charges latest installment of the vital regional tournament that has been a breeding ground for so much Southern African talent down the years.
