THE senior national women’s side Mehalalitoe will open this year's edition of the Council of Southern African Football Association (COSAFA) tournament against regional powerhouses Zambia in group B on November 4, at the Wolfson playground in Port Elizabeth.

This follows a draw that was conducted in PE on Thursday in which Mehalalitoe have been pitted against Zambia and Malawi in the three-member group.
Mehalalitoe will take on Malawi three days later in a match that will determine whether or not they advance to the next stage of the regional event.

In the same group B, Zambia will meet Malawi on November 9 to determine which parties will advance to the COSAFA Championship semi-final.
Group A consists of Angola, Comoros, Eswatini and the host nation South Africa while group C is made up of Botswana, Zimbabwe and the invited guests Tanzania.
