LMPS applauds Paray Hospital for reporting Sexual Offences against minors

Paray Hospital has been commended for its commitment to reporting sexual offences involving minors to the Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS), a practice described as critical in protecting children and ensuring perpetrators are brought to justice.

The remarks were made during a roundtable discussion on youth empowerment and the prevention of gender-based violence (GBV), including child marriage, organized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

The meeting brought together heads of departments and representatives from the LMPS, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Gender, Youth and Social Development, the Ministry of Education and Training, and youth representatives to discuss collaborative strategies for addressing GBV and empowering young people.
