According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the conference will be another component of Lesotho’s efforts to regenerate the economy that has sank into a deep recession as a result of COVID-19 pandemic.
It notes that due to the COVID-19 health restrictions, the event will be held virtually.
It adds that participants will among others be drawn from local and international investors, public sector officials and representatives of international agencies.
The statement shows that the clearly defined agenda of the conference is to promote and put into the market more than 21 viable investment projects that are part of the recently completed Investment Compendium.
It further states that the participants will be expected to explore other investment opportunities including possible joint ventures between Basotho and International Investors.
