This was highlighted by the Principal Secretary in the ministry, Tankiso Phapano during a meeting that was held on Wednesday with the heads of street vendors associations at the District Administrator’s Boardroom in Hlotse, Leribe. He said the data collected will serve in allocating appropriately the funds from the COVID-19 Relief Fund and for other business developments to come.
Mr Phapano said board members working together with the PS’ office and various street vendors’ associations will work with the ones in Leribe in collecting data.
There is a new form he said to be filled by the street vendors, which was used in Maseru and Berea, adding however that it is up to Leribe to use the same form or come up with its own.
The designed form he said, is much easier to understand than the one which was used before, as it only needs the name, surname, ID number, the type and place of business, gender and cell phone number of the person concerned.
