Butha-Buthe to host fancy food market expo
The unique show is projected to provide an immersive educational experience for the purpose of learning about food consumer purchasing behaviours, trends and innovations.
With expert insights and in-person networking, the food fair will help producers react faster to shifting market opportunities and demands.

The main culinary centre in Lesotho is the capital Maseru, which boasts of a fair selection of a la carte restaurants serving one or other international cuisines, be it Italian, Portuguese, Chinese or Indians, along with several fast food franchises from the neighbouring South Africa.
In most other towns and tourist hubs, the closest thing to fine dining tends to be hotel and guesthouse restaurants. Most of these include a buffet breakfast in the room price which offers guests an optional set menu or limited buffet in the evening. Some have an a la carte lunch and dinner menu.
In most towns, you will also find a few small eateries that cater for the local market and serve a few simple but tasty and inexpensive meals, for instance beef stew or fried chicken with a staple starch, and salad or vegetables on the side.
The Managing Director of the Southern Express, Motlatsi Russell was earlier this year awarded a contract to manage the Butha-Buthe VCF – a popular tourism attraction facility.

Among other tasks, his administration is expected to form and maintain good working relationships between the investor and tourism stakeholders as well as the community of Butha-Buthe.
The investor is expected to work collaboratively with the host community and other stakeholders and ensure that they benefit either through job creation, while also enhancing the tourism sector.
Mr Rusell has also shown that the Southern Express will contribute a percentage of all events held in the facility to the Butha-Buthe Community Forum.
"At the launch of the food and art market show, there will be music, performances, fashion shows and many other activities,” he announced.
