The ceremony was followed by the swearing-in of Senators.

The swearing-in of Senators follows the successful general elections of October 7, which saw Sam Matekane’s Revolution for Prosperity (RFP) partnering with the Alliance of Democrats (AD) and the Movement for Economic Change (MEC) to form a new coalition government.

Matekane was inaugurated as the new Prime Minister of Lesotho last week Friday, replacing Dr Moeketsi Majoro who served for not more than three years.
