The Thaba-Tseka district yesterday experienced a light snowfall and rainfall. According to a press release issued by the Lesotho Meteorological Services (LMS) yesterday, extremely cold weather conditions are expected countrywide. The statement said daytime temperatures are forecast not to go above 10 degrees celsius over the entire country with conditions becoming extreme in the highlands where in other areas five degrees celsius will barely be reached. 'There is also a 30 percent chance of drops of rain and light snowfall in the highlands between yesterday and today, the release further showed. It however, stated that the weather conditions are expected to improve from tomorrow. It further showed that maximum temperatures in Thaba-Tseka yesterday stood at 17,5 degrees celsius in the morning attributed to strong winds. The minimum temperatures were recorded at -6,5 degrees celsius in the afternoon.
