SENSATIONAL standup comedian Bofihla ’Neko better known by his stage moniker, Lilaphalapha is set to exchange blows with radio personality, Poi Khoeli aka ‘Mavele Infinity’ in an exhibition boxing bout.

Lilaphalapha who is also a renowned actor, producer and director of the Sesotho comic series titled Lilaphalapha, made headlines early this month when he challenged Mavele to a boxing match.

Mavele is a professional dancer, radio DJ, a professional master of ceremonies, a wellness instructor and an Econet Lesotho brand ambassador.

The much anticipated fight will be viewed live on Friday March 25, from 6pm to 10pm at the Victory Hall in Moshoeshoe II, Maseru.
Lilaphalapha described the event as an entertainment show that will entail comedy sessions, music and heavy exchange of gloved punches.

Other popular comedians including ’Makhubelu, Sir Matee, Spootnyk, Tieho Khaukhau, Goodenough and Leotoana are billed to perform alongside local artistes like Ntate Stunna, Malome Vector and Sentšo, Wave Rhyder and Mobstar among others.

"I am going to win this fight but I am not undermining anyone. Other people say Lilaphalapha is going to beat me because he is much taller than me but that's not the case in boxing. What counts most is technic and speed.

“I keep training everyday. Come see me on Friday, the strongest and fastest fighter in our history,” notes Mavele.
A similar celebrity boxing match was held in South Africa on December 23, after famous rapper, Cassper Nyovest, 31, challenged Slik-Talk to a boxing bout.

Slik-Talk is a 24-year-old South African YouTuber, law student and a non-professional boxer.
Nyovest was angry at Slik-Talk after the later trash-talked him on his YouTube channel, like he usually taunts other celebrities.

Unlike most artistes who normally ignore Slik-Talk’s insults, the rapper refused to take the matter lying down.
Nyovest later knocked Slik-Talk out in their fight, putting an end to the ceaseless name calling.

The boxing match dubbed Fame Vs Clout' attracted more than 35 000 viewers on Nyovest's Facebook account and it was livestreamed on internet.
