AT least 140 delegates are expected to contest for the position of the District Football Association (DIFA) Berea President during the elections scheduled for Saturday at the Teyateyaneng LECSA Primary School.

The association’s First Vice President Lekhooa Thabaneng said the submission of the names of the nominees closed last week Friday. He said as per the Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) constitution, DIFAs as district football managing bodies are expected to hold elective conferences every other year in order to elect a President.
Thabaneng said during such conferences, teams will be presented with the annual progress reports and receive their contribution for soccer development at district level.
He said although they are expecting 140 delegates from the teams, their applications are still going to be scrutinised before the election date to ensure that the candidates meet the elections requirements such as being registered with one of the local teams in the district.
