The Serbian born Likuena head coach Vesselin Jelusic has roped in U-20 players in his provisional squad of 23 players announced ahead of the senior national side's resumption of its training on August 22.

Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) Media Officer, Mikia Kalati said  Jelusic had included several players from the National Under 20 team Makoanyane XI in his Likuena provisional squad that return to work on Monday (Today).

He said the list of Makoanyane XI players invited to train with the senior national team included Tumeliso Ratsiu from Kick4Life and Molefi Kulehile from B Division side, ACTIP FC from Mafeteng.

''Others are Motlatsi Sebapala and Tlotliso Mapola, who were invited for previous Likuena training programmes,'' he highlighted.

Mr. Kalati said the experienced Serbian Gaffer had also invited Swallows duo of Tanki Tsibela and Motsoane Lebaka alongside Kick4Life Moalosi Lebeko, but would not be able to link up with the senior national team due to school commitments and injuries respectively.

He said they were all part of the Makoanyane XI squad fine tuning its preparations for the 2022 edition of the COSAFA Under 20 Championship.

Likuena last played an official match during the COSAFA Cup tournament held in Durban in July this year in which they won two games against Malawi and Mauritius 2-1 respectively before being denied to be group leaders after being stopped by Eswatini in a 2-0 loss.

Meanwhile, the Lesotho Football Association elite female referee 'Mathabo Kolokotoane has been added to a list of match officials at the upcoming HollywoodBets COSAFA Women's Championship scheduled for Gqeberha from August 31 to September 11 this year.

Lesotho will now have three match officials at the tournament with the duo of Nteboheleng Setoko and Polotso Maapara having already received their call-ups to officiate at the regional Women's Championship.

Kolokotoane recently returned home after officiating the CAF Women's Championships League/COSAFA qualifiers in Durban, where she also handled the Third Place Playoff match.
