LIMKOKWING University (LU) FC assistant coach Mohaila Letseka has left the varsity side to join the Teyateyaneng based premier league giants, Lioli FC as assistant to head coach Mosholu ‘Shoes’ Mokhothu.

LU FC Public Relations Officer Tokelo Mosia confirmed the move, saying due to the good relations they have with Lioli, they amicably released Letseka for greener pastures at Tse Nala.

He said this is a good opportunity for Letseka to gain top level coaching experience.

“His position will be filled by former LU FC player, Labaoa Molorane who recently retired from competitive football. Molorane has been working with the team in the technical department alongside Letseka and head coach Daniel Ntlaloe,” Mosia said.

For his part, Lioli President Lebohang Thotanyana said the team is yet to make a decision about engaging Letseka.

“We are still in negotiations with Letseka. We have not yet reached an agreement. The club will issue a statement once the negotiations have been completed,” he said.

Attempts to get a comment on the move from Letseka were unsuccessful as his phone rung unanswered.

Letseka who is also the former Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) Youth Development Officer coached LU FC for a number of years.

Meanwhile, the Vodacom Premier League powerhouse Lioli will meet Lifofane FC in Butha Buthe during the week while LU FC will be heading to Nyakosoba to battle Sky Battalion in the Lesotho Postbank League opener on Saturday May 22 in Maseru.
