PORT ELIZABETH - Lesotho national team physiotherapist Tanki Putsoane has reported a clean bill of health from their camp ahead of Saturday’s COSAFA Cup clash against Botswana at the Isaac Wolfson Stadium in Nelson Mandela Bay.

Leslie Notsi’s charges head into the match high on confidence after a Motebang Sera’s brace handed them a 2-1 victory over Zambia on Thursday.

Likuena reached the semi-finals in the last three editions of the regional competition and a win over Botswana can take them a step closer to their fourth consecutive semi-final.

Their final Group A match will be against hosts South Africa, who currently occupy the first position with six points after beating Botswana and Eswatini in their two opening matches.

“We head into Saturday’s match with Botswana with a clean bill of health. We had three players nursing minor injuries after the game with Zambia, but all of them trained with the team on Friday and are in good shape” Putsoane said.

“They are all available for selection, but we will be monitoring them closely during the game with Botswana on Saturday.”

Lesotho will also be boosted by the return of attacking midfielder Jane Thabantso, who missed the victory over Zambia after he was dismissed early in the game against Eswatini.
