PREMIER League big guns maintained their impressive start to the new Vodacom Premier league season with Bantu, Matlama and Lioli all registering victory in their second matches of the 2020/2021 season.

Defending champions Bantu had a comfortable 2-0 win over Lifofane at Setsoto stadium with star midfielders Lehlohonolo Fothoane and Hlompho Kalake netting the two goals.

A-Matso-Matebele started the campaign with a 3-0 thumping of Kick4Life in their opening match of the new season also played at Setsoto stadium last weekend.

The victory over Lifofane was also a milestone for Bantu and their coach Bob Mafoso as they remained unbeaten in their last 20 league matches having registered 18 victories and two draws.

Matlama and Lioli were both rampant in their second matches, each registering a 4-1 win over Premier League new boys Manonyane and CCX respectively on Thursday.

Phafa Tšosane opened the floodgate as Tse-Putsoa clinched their second win in a row with Teboho Lilane, Paseka Pita and Lerotholi Zwane each registering a goal in the match played in Nyokosoba.

Tse-Nala were also in action on Thursday and showed no mercy as they hammered rookies CCX 4-1 at the Maputsoe DIFA Ground.

Swithbert Kum broke the deadlock early in the match before Khangela Zungu, Tumelo Makha and Nkoto Masoabi also recorded their names in the scoresheet to maintain their impressive start to the new season.

Lioli, who had a miserable 2019/2020 season looked much confident under the mentorship of Thomas Tshabalala in the new season after opening their campaign with a 2-0 win over Linare last weekend.
