FIVE members of the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) who are charged with the 2012 murder of three Mafeteng residents were on Monday granted permission to visit a crime scene related to the case.

In their court papers, the soldiers told Justice Onkemetse Tshosa who is presiding over the application that touring the scene of crime located in Mafeteng was part of preparations for their defence in the main trial.

The court however, ruled that although the application was successful, the applicants failed to demonstrate its urgency.

The accused in the matter include Khauhelo Makoa, Litekanyo Nyakane, Lance Corporal Sebilo Sebilo, Tšepo Tlhakeli and Thebe Tšepe.
