’Maesaiah’s bail thrown out
Former First Lady 'Maesaiah and her husband Ex PM Motsoahae Thabane
’Maesaiah was earlier this year granted bail by the High Court after she briefly appeared before the Maseru Magistrate’s Court for the murder of her husband’s estranged wife Lipolelo Thabane in June 2017.
Lipolelo was gunned down outside her Ha ’Masana home on the outskirts of Maseru, some two days before former Prime Minister Motsoahae Thabane’s inauguration.
’Maesaiah is also accused of the attempted murder of Lipolelo’s friend, Thato Sibolla who suffered several gunshot wounds during the same attack.

Both Thabane’s grandson Motsoahae Thabane (Junior) and Sibolla filed an application before the High Court asking the court to review Justice Mahase’s decision.
The two also allege that ’Maesaiah was released even before her bail deposit was paid.
