A Thabana-Morena man who allegedly raped two minor girls from the same village was on Thursday remanded in custody by the Mafeteng Magistrate’s Court after he failed to pay a M2 000 bail.

Ngaka Ntšinyi, 39, of Maralleng is expected to reappear before Magistrate ’Mathabo Kopung on January 27.

It is alleged that on December 12, 2021 Ntšinyi was digging herbs on the peripheral of his village when he met three young girls who were playing out in the wilderness.

It is further alleged that he held two of the girls aged nine and 11 hostage while the third one managed to escape.
