TWO Mafeteng men who allegedly forced a motorist out of his vehicle and raped his wife at gunpoint before making away in the couple’s car were last week Thursday remanded in custody by the Mafeteng Magistrate’s Court.

Ralibuseng Moshesha and his co-accused Mosa Mokoena both aged 28 of Ha Lekhari were charged with attempted murder, motor vehicle theft, sexual assault and possession of two illegal 9 mm pistols.

According to police deputy spokesperson Sub Inspector ’Mareabetsoe Mofoka, on the night of October 27, the accused attacked the victims who were travelling in their vehicle and pulled the woman out of the car.

“They then raped her at gunpoint before they fled in the victims’ car,” Sub Insp Mofoka told a press briefing on Monday at the police headquarters.
