KICK4LIFE Ladies were on Sunday crowned champions of the Women’s Super League Dare to Dream Championship after a 2-1 victory over LDF in a match played at the Makoanyane Barracks.

The Old Europa’s side got off to a flying start scoring as early as the second minute of the game through Senate Letsie, but LDF were able to find their way back as Kholu Lebakeng leveled matters in the 45th minute.

Letsie, who has been impressive for Kick4Life throughout the campaign, was able to get her second of the day in the second half to hand Kick4Life the trophy.

Addressing the media in a post-match interview, Letsie said teamwork was the winner for her side that had to dig deep to get the better of their bitter rivals, who have been ruthless throughout the campaign.

“I’m humbled, I feel so proud that today we are the winners especially winning it against our most tough competitions,” Letsie said. “It was not an easy game, we knew they will make it difficult for us. We had to dig deep to make our supporters proud.”

Kick4Life coach Elizabeth Yelimala was over the moon with the success of her team, echoing Letsie’s sentiments that they did everything to win the competition.

“We thank God for the success because it was a tough campaign from the start to the end. All the teams in the league have improved and though we still managed to get the results, it was not easy,” she said.

“Credit must go to all the teams in our group and LDF as the team we played in the final. They really got the best out of us.

“We are looking forward to the coming season, it’s going to be exciting. I would like to thank the Super League Committee, LeFA women’s desk and the Lesotho Football Association for offering the platform to play in this competition.”
