MASERU - The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) has suspended all league games under its control effective from March 16 to March 31 in respect of the widespread Corona virus (COVID 19) pandemic.

LeFA suspends all football matches
The decision was arrived at by the body’s NEC along with the Premier League Management Committee and other league management committees during a joint meeting held on Monday.
The meeting further agreed that during the fortnight break, all stakeholders would monitor the situation both locally and internationally before making a decision about the next step of action.
LeFA is hopeful that all league games would resume during the weekend of April 4 – 5. The meeting also advised all teams to suspend training sessions during the break as a measure of control.
Media reports show that the majority of European leagues have postponed their fixtures until further notice.

At least 18 players, one manager and one club owner have reportedly tested positive for the Corona virus in various European leagues.
Further reports show that South Africa has already suspended all its sporting activities for the next two months in order to monitor the virus situation in that country.
