MAHLAKAPESE Guesthouse, a privately-owned resort nestled outside Hlotse on the way to the Katse Dam in Leribe is treating power marathon couple, ’Neheng Khatala and her husband Khoarahlane Seutloali to a three-day retreat as part of appreciating the two Olympians’ performance at the Tokyo, Japan Olympic Games that ended in August.

Mahlakapese Guesthouse entertains local Olympians
Top marathoners, Khoarahlane Seutloali and his wife, Neheng Khatala at Mahlakapse Guesthouse

The guesthouse pledged M5 000 worth of accommodation for the couple as it travels to the northern part of the country.
The retreat began on Saturday.
Khatala appeared 20th out of 88 athletes in the women’s 42.2 kilometre-marathon while her husband, Seutloali was position 67 among 106 athletes in the men’s division, recording his seasonal best of 2:25:03.
Other eight local businesses also came on board to give the marathon duo various sponsorships as appreciation for their hard work.
Diverse Logistics Pty Ltd in August pledged M1 000 to the Seutloalis, further promising to import goods for them from South Africa for the next six months free of charge.
Tichere Pule Van Rentals pledged to drive the couple to a local tourism destination of its choice. Prominent lawyer and businessman, Attorney Khotso Nthontho through his transport company, Trojan Logistics pledged refreshments while the athletes travel.

Mosh Financial Services committed M500 per person with Moliehi F Nkalai pledging M150 worth of airtime per person, while Thesbo Nails $tudio provided Khatala with free pedicure and manicure before she traveled to Mahlakapese.
Tourism company, Likila Tour Operators based in Butha Buthe pledged to give the couple a one- day Ski Rental package if they visit the Afriski Mountain Resort before end of August while Dyke Letshoba pledged to bake a huge cake for the couple.
The duo also received a sum of M100 000 from the Ministry of Sports through Minister Likeleli Tampane.
